State-of-the-Art Yamaha Music School Opened in Markham, Ont.

Yamaha Music School held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to officially open its state-of-the-art music school in the City of Markham, Ontario on Friday, September 7th.

Invited dignitaries who spoke at the event included Mayor of Markham, Frank Scarpitti, Deputy Consul General to Japan, Satoshi Ominato, and President of Yamaha Canada Music, Kenichi Matsushiro.

Formerly located in North York for the past 35 years, the all-new facility is located in downtown Markham, a brand, new community hub for residents in the area. The new Yamaha Music School, near Warden Avenue and Highway 407, shares a complex currently housing Cineplex VIP Cinemas and many other restaurants and retail locations, perfect for the entire family. Additionally, there are 600 heated underground parking spaces within the complex and the music school is conveniently accessible both by car and public transit. YSpace, York University’s Innovation Centre, also shares the floor with Yamaha Music School, creating an inspiring and innovative environment for music students and families.

Classes begin this month.
