Roland Canada Announces New Quebec Sales Rep & Other Hires

Roland Canada has announced four new staff hires, including a new Quebec sales rep, service technician, accounting technician, and marketing communications coordinator.

Sylvain Roy has joined Roland’s Quebec sales team. Born in Thetford Mines, Roy has been involved in the music industry for the last 20 years. He studied music at the Quebec City Conservatory and has played more than 500 shows nationwide as a drummer. He says teaching has always been part of his life and he’s worked for five years at Musique Richard Gendreau, alongside Olivier Potvin, and has done great things for their drum department, says Roland. During the last decade, he has been freelancing as a stage, tour, and production manager for various artists, festivals, and agencies in the province of Quebec. He is now based in Montreal.

Masaki Shimizu has joined Roland Canada as its new service technician. Masaki graduated from university in Japan, and worked in the electronic industry for 10 years since as a repairer, production coordinator, and supervisor. After arriving in Canada 10 years ago, he continued his career as an electronic technician. He recently graduated from Seneca College, obtaining a diploma of electronics engineering.

Namita Sharma has joined Roland’s accounting team in the role of accounting technician. She has a strong background in finance and after completing her MBA in India, Sharma took on multiple accounting related roles in the technology sector. She moved to Canada in 2015 and recently completed her post-baccalaureate diploma in accounting at Thompson Rivers University.

Tiana Marconato will be joining Roland’s marketing team as the new marketing communications coordinator. Marconato completed her degree in communications at Simon Fraser University last year and has gained experience in public relations and digital marketing since.
