SFM has announced the retirement of Richard Boileau, or “Mr. Shure Canada” as he's often referred to amongst his peers in the industry, after 25 years of service with the company.
Boileau started working for SFM in 1996 as a pro audio technical support specialist. He has since made a tremendous contribution to the Shure brand and the Canadian pro audio industry. The company says that as a market development specialist, his passion and knowledge of audio were second to none. “Anyone who worked with Boileau was witness to his warmth, enthusiasm, and go-getter attitude. He could lift the spirits of his peers and customers with humour and ease,” SFM adds in its announcement.
Luisa Cabrita, Shure Brand Manager at SFM, has worked with Richard for many years. “He possesses a gracious personality that enables him to build strong relationships and loyal customers,” she says. “I learned a lot from Richard over the years and am going to miss him as a colleague and friend.”
“While Richard, Mr. B, Mr. Shure Canada is enjoying his well-deserved retirement, his legacy lives on in our hearts, at SFM, and in the industry as a whole,” the company says.
