SFM has announced the hiring of Jeremy Cook in the role of marketing manager.
With over 20 years of experience in the music retail industry with Tom Lee Music, Cook has built a diverse career overseeing many facets of business in his roles as division manager, marketing manager, buyer, and e-commerce manager.
The company describes Cook as curious and creative and says he continues to challenge himself, as evidenced by his acquiring degrees in purchasing, supply chain management, and audio engineering. He nurtures his artistic talents in his spare time through music creation, illustration, photography, and video editing.
“I have had a great relationship with SFM as a retailer for many years and am very excited to now be on the inside and working at the distributor level,” says Cook. “I look forward to building a strong strategic marketing foundation that will allow the team to excel and sets them up for future success.”
As marketing manager, Cook’s role is to ensure the day-to-day marketing operations are focused on initiatives that align with SFM's strategic business growth. He'll be responsible for standardizing and communicating marketing best practices in promotions, product launches, budgeting and campaign planning for all marketing channels. He'll also oversee the framework for channel communications and will be the marketing point of contact for key eCommerce accounts.
