Harman Pro Expands Relationship with JAM Industries in Canada

Canadian Music Trade has learned that JAM Industries – which has a decades-long relationship with Harman – will further assist Harman Professional Solutions with distribution of its audio brands across most market segments in Canada. Specifically, the list of brands includes: AKG, BSS Audio, Crown, dbx, JBL, Lexicon, Soundcraft, and Studer.

Prior to this announcement, SC Media Canada was distributing the aforementioned brands in the Canadian professional audio market while B&J Pro, a division of JAM Industries, handled distribution to MI channels for AKG, Crown, dbx, JBL, Lexicon, and Soundcraft. Now, all will be overseen by JAM Industries under B&J Pro management, though a specific structure has not yet been announced.

These changes will come into effect on July 19, 2019.

Distribution for AMX AV control solutions and Martin Professional Lighting, both Harman Professional Solutions brands, will remain with Techni+Contact and Erikson Pro, respectively.

Sources from both JAM Industries and SC Media Canada have confirmed this news and we’ll be updating our story as more details are made available.
