On Dec. 28, 2012, Julio Cotellesso passed away in Montreal, suddenly, at the age of 67.

Julio was a leading force at Steve’s Music in Montreal for over 20 years and worked previously in the MI distribution business. He was the first music retailer to be named President of MIAC (Music Industries Association of Canada).

He will be sadly missed by his beloved spouse Renée Tougas, his daughters Julie (Francis) and Annie (Eric), his grandchildren Vincent, Olivier, Émilie, Rémi and Flavie, his sister Filomena, and many other relatives, friends and colleagues from the music industry.

The family will receive condolences at Magnus Poirier Funeral Complex 10300 Pie IX Blvd. on Thursday, January 3, 2013 from 2-5 and 7-10 p.m. and on Friday morning as of 9 a.m. A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 4, 2013 at 11 a.m. at St.Leonard Church. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Sacré-Coeur Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.

We at CMT extend our sympathies to Julio’s family, friends, and peers in the industry.
