France's Vervent Audio Group Acquires Audio Plus Services & Plurison

Vervent Audio Group (VVAG), a France-based hi-fi audio company, has strengthened its position in North America and accelerated its international ambitions with the acquisition of Quebec’s Audio Plus Services and Plurison, distributors of pro and hi-fi audio equipment in the U.S. and Canada. VVAG owns the audio companies Focal and NAIM.

The acquisition of Audio Plus Services and Plurison by VVAG – effective since
Jan. 15, 2019 – creates Focal Naim America and Focal Naim Canada subsidiaries. It signals the new phase of an investment plan agreed by the group in America, and initiated in 2018 thanks to the merger of Audio Plus Services and Plurison and Focal North America.

With this acquisition, VVAG says it maintains its goal of increasing the quality of its services, driven by the desire to work more closely with its retailers. Creating its own distribution entity, the aim is to turn the North American territory into the leader market for Focal, which this year celebrates its 40th anniversary and Naim, which just turned 45.

Daniel Jacques, the founder of Audio Plus Services and Plurison, will be president of both Focal
Naim America and Focal Naim Canada. The company says it will “deploy an offer focused on customer experience and high-quality service. Boasting the largest sales force in the high-end audio industry on the American continent, this entity strives to double its turnover over the next five years.”
